The role

The Head of Finance Business Support is a critical role in ensuring the financial success and resilience needed to give students the education they need to flourish in a changing world, bring high-quality creative education to more students than ever before and to change the world through our creative endeavour.

As Head of Finance Business Support, you will partner closely with the Executive Board and budget holders to ensure the accuracy of plans, budgets, and forecasts. This will entail motivating and managing a team of finance business partners to continuously improve how we deliver effective information and analysis to support decision making.

You will also provide a framework of standards/deliverables for finance business partners and budget holders across the University to work to. Through your effective leadership you will create a culture of clear accountability and transparency in relation to the University’s finances.

Your Profile

This is an ideal opportunity to join a team with a diverse range of financial experience spanning higher education, public and commercial sectors.

You will have a strong foundation in accounting supported by a relevant accounting qualification. Your knowledge will include financial reporting standards and you will have demonstrable experience delivering comprehensive results to tight deadlines.

Your ability to write and develop financial reports using Excel at an advanced standard is key to this role as is the ability to motivate and lead others, set the direction for multiple functions whilst promoting collaboration across formal boundaries.
