The role

Centre for Sustainable Fashion (CSF) seeks a skilled and experienced Assistant to provide administrative and project support to the CSF Director. Varied and dynamic, a key part of the role includes providing support with research, presentations, and reports to assist the CSF Director in achieving CSF and UAL research aims and objectives, contributing to the delivery of the Centre’s strategic plan.

As well as communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, you will ensure there is a comprehensive administrative service in place and ensure University policy and procedures are complied with.

CSF is a University of the Arts London research centre based at London College of Fashion. We engage in participatory design and transformation design practices to act on the climate, societal and personal health and equity crisis in and through fashion. We seek to develop agency and capabilities in those involved in fashion to critically respond, adapt and transform fashion into restorative practices and cultures.

Your Profile

We are looking for a dedicated, driven individual who is looking to use their strong organisational skills and experience including time management, creative thinking, problem solving and multitasking to support the CSF Director. 

With a degree in an arts-based subject, you will have experience in working as an Assistant or as an Administrator preferably in a university or similar setting.

You will have excellent attention to detail and IT skills as well as experience of diary and relationship management, presentation creation and experience in collating and reporting a range of information and data. You will have excellent communication skills, be familiar with working with diverse groups of stakeholders, be committed to inclusive and accessible ways of working, be comfortable prioritising workload and working independently.
